Evening Earl Grey

In making tea,
the sapphire flames
called forth a tiny moth,

who,
plunging from a plaster heaven,
folded his wings and shriveled.

His body, a grain of rice,
a speck upon the stovetop.

How many teacups have killed before?
And who knows what rules below or above?
